I have a 800XL with a SX212 modem and i'm using 850 express sx212
companion software. my problem is 2 fold:
1.) how do i attach/use one of the terminal emulators i
downloaded so i can edit the files before decoding them?
2.) i have the standard memory, how can i edit the larde
files that are sent to me? can the files be sent to me in smaller chunks, i know there will be
more of them, but at least i can edit them with my
           word processor.

  ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I'm afraid I don't follow the meaning of your Question 1. Please go ahead
and post it again, trying to describe the problem more clearly.

At for #2.) Try this method: using your word processor, fix up each section
of the large .uue file that BART sent you, so that there's no header or
footer information left, just the .uue code. Now use the word processor's
"save ascii" command to save each part as a plain text file. Then use DOS
to copy w/ append all the parts together to create the complete .uue file.
In DOS 2.5 use "FILENAME.UUE/A" as your destination file name to force
appending of the source file to the end of the destination file.

I don't believe there's any way to alter the sizes of the chunks of files
that BART sends.
