QUESTION ABOUT CONTROLING THE OUTPUT OF THE 1030 MODEM...
CAN THE LENGTH OF THE DATA BIT USED IN COMMUNICATING BE
CONTROLED?
I AM TRYING TO CONTACT THE MAINFRAME (IBM 3081) AT CSU WITH
A PROGRAM CALLED VT100. THE MAIN FRAME CONECTION REQUIRES
7 DATA BITS, TWO STOP BITS AT EVEN PARITY. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

PS:BASICALLY I WANT TO KNOW IF I CAN CONTROL THIS FEATURE OF
THE 1030...

You can use any R-handler to
make the 1030 communicate any 300-baud
way you like. What you can't do from
an R-handler is make it dial in tone
mode. (Study your "R:" commands, esp.
the XIO ones.)
