Summary by John Cummins <cummins@d.cs.okstate.edu>

It's been many years since I had my Omniview (and my 8bit too...)
But it was an OS upgrade (I used 3 OS chips, Omniveiw, Omnimon, and the stock
800xl OS) that supported 80 columns by using a 3 pixel accross character set.

The pixel grid was 4 pixels, but for white space between characters, each
character itself was only 3 pixels accross. Recon they were 9 pixels tall... I
forget. I used it with som dos(s) to get directory listings on one screen...
and with one terminal emulator (at 1200 baud, 2400 was supported 'tho).
The term emulator I used was vt 10^2 (vt ten squared) a decent vt100
emulator without any xmodem or dialer....

Well... that's all I have for ya...
