This one is for you gamers out there. Did you know that you
can use a Sega controller on your Atari? Well you can. You
can use a regular Sega controller or a Sega Genesis controller.
If you ever noticed the plug on one it looks familiar. It's the
same 9-pin that the Atari uses. All you need to do is plug it
in and your on your way. The Sega controller has the left thumb
pad instead of a joystick. For those who prefer the Japanese
left hand thinking then your all set. For those who never tried
one it takes very little time to get used to it. There are
three buttons on the control pad we will only be concerned with
one. The fire button is "B". On some controllers there is a
turbo mode where you are supposed to get rapid fire. I have not
tried it yet so I can't tell you for sure. If so then for most
games that's as good as cheating or you can finally get through
a level of a game you could not in the past.
This controller can be used on the Atari 2600, 7800 (I'm not
sure about the second fire button), and all Atari Computers.
Well it can also be used on other systems that use a Atari type
joystick. (Tandy, ADAM, Commodore.....)
What do they cost? I picked a new generic controller for
$12.99 plus tax you should get a better deal if you go to a used
outlet and get a used one.
What are the benefits? Well for one they're cheap and last
a long time. They are less fatiguing on the hand on some games.

They're available at just about every toy and electronics store.
